The Wendy Williams Show
Wendy Williams reads a letter from former talk titan Oprah Winfrey.
By Ree Hines
Buzz about troubles for Oprah Winfrey and her longtime best pal Gayle King recently made the rumor rounds. Even daytime talker Wendy Williams was among those who feared the famous friends were on the outs, but not anymore.
"I love when celebrities contact the 'Wendy Show' to set the record straight," Williams said on Wednesday's episode. "Cause that means that they?re watching."
So imagine just how much the host loved getting a letter from former talk titan Winfrey.
?Recently I talked about Oprah and Gayle?s friendship possibly being on the rocks,? Williams recalled before reading the message. ?It all stemmed (from) when I was talking with you (the audience) about Gayle announcing that she was leaving the OWN network for the ?Early Show? on CBS.?
But Williams no longer worries about the BFFs, now that Winfrey has cleared it all up.
"I wanted to be sure everyone knows there is only happiness for Gayle and this wonderful opportunity," the letter read.
?And then there?s a smiley face!? Williams said.
The letter was signed, "Love, Oprah."
Do you think the letter puts an end to the rumors, or does Gayle's recent TV move still signal trouble? Share your thoughts on our Facebook page.
